No, not from the makers of Snapple, a la' the much amused and disputed (accuracy and all) "Snapple Facts." Rather, the Snapple's model seems to have caught on among its many competitors who have exploded onto the convenience scene for well over a decade.
While looking at all the various choices of tea and beverage options in Whole Foods, I choose a simple black tea bottle. Conservative choice, I thought, considering all the exotic elixirs to tantalize the taste buds.
I got what I expected in the tea itself, crisp, refreshing and nicely brewed. What I didn't expect was a quote from one of the most beloved (depending on what side you were on) war time leaders in history. Underneath the cap, a message was written that's brevity and poignancy stuck with me:
"If you’re going through hell, keep going." - Winston Churchill
What a difference a day can make, you know the song, “24 little hours.” The message resonated with me as a reminder that when the going gets tough, keep going, things will change for the better.
Tea + enlightenment = $1.89, well spent.
