Voices-Wishes of Egyptian people heard in unison!

One the oldest human civilizations on earth the Egyption people are letting their voices and wishes be heard in unison . They have come together and worked to gain critical mass and courage to express their wishes and aspirations.

Looking back at two historic speeches given by US political leadres in Cairo over the last 6 years:

Rice calls for Mid-East democracy  2005 "Now, we are taking a different course. We are supporting the democratic aspirations of all people," she said. The BBC's Frank Gardner said her comments marked a complete departure for the US, and were "immensely risky". She criticised Egypt and Saudi Arabia, where she arrived after leaving Cairo, for cracking down on dissenters. She also called on Egypt to ensure its upcoming election was free and fair.

"A New Beginning" is the name of a speech delivered by United States President Barack Obama on June 4, 2009, from the Major Reception Hall at Cairo University in Cairo, Egypt. Al-Azhar University co-hosted the event. About democracy, Obama stated that, though "America does not presume to know what is best for everyone", "I do have an unyielding belief that all people yearn for certain things: the ability to speak your mind and have a say in how you are governed; confidence in the rule of law and the equal administration of justice; government that is transparent and doesn't steal from the people; the freedom to live as you choose." He called such freedoms "human rights".

2010 Elections Monitors urge Egypt's election results be annulled! CAIRO – A coalition of Egyptian rights groups on Monday urged President Hosni Mubarak to nullify the results of the country's parliamentary election because of widespread vote rigging. Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif on Monday described the election as "the best in Egypt's election history." He promised his government will investigate fraud allegations, but election officials say the few reports of violations have been dealt with and had no effect on the results.

"The barrier of fear, which is essential to maintaining an autocratic regime in power, was breached well before January 2011. The missing element was for the Egyptian people to understand this. On January 28 they did. Whatever happens in the coming days and weeks, the Mubarak regime will not be able to put this genie back in the bottle."
