Driven to Dream: The Passion for Cars & the Journey

It is not about the destinations in our lives but rather about the journey and the vehicle that gets us there. It is these journeys that motivate us to do or be more. This series is about expressing the passion, the enthusiasm for automobiles and how cars can inspire, evoke creativity and dreams. It is the about the love for the engineering, design, speed, beauty and the thrill of the machine. It is through this series we will share the stories that inspire and motivate as well as how these machines have had a profound impact on so many lives.
Toy Car: A Vehicle to Desk Toy’s Dream
The personal project by director Tom Jenkins titled “Address is Approximate” is about a lonely desk toy who longs for escape from the dark confines of the office, so he takes a cross country road trip to the Pacific Coast in the only way he can-using a toy car and Google Maps Street View.
This story is a great example of how a car can take you on a journey that evokes emotion of achieving one’s wish and or dream. It is the memory and the emotions of your journey that will be forever remembered with the car that took you there.
