Alberto Salazar Legacy: Mo Farah - Galen Rupp
The marathon legend Alberto Salazar was my inspiration, winning three consecutive New York Marathon, course record time of 2:08:51 to win the Boston Marathon and records for 5 and 10k in the 1980s. He is still inspiring the next generation by leaving a legacy coaching Mo Farah and Galen Rupp at the London Ollympics. Mo and Galen won gold and silver today in the 10k London Olympics.
Mo Farah became the first to win the Olympic gold in 10K for GB and Galen Rupp the first U.S. man since Billy Mills won at Tokyo in 1964. Salazar did qualify for the 1980 U.S. Olympic teams, but the Moscow boycott prevented him from competing.
Running Tips from Alberto Salazar
Watching the Olympics has made all of us at Wishes4Life swim, Bike and run a bit longer and faster. Few tips from Salazar:

An underwater treadmill?? Did I hear that right? The moment Farrah pulled out at the 11th hour was a top Olympic moment. Seeing him and #2 training on an ordinary treadmill is surreal. They could be at the local 24 hour!
