Cooking 4 Life: Simplicity Is A Simple Salmon (Say That 10 Times Fast!)

Simplicity is what it is about for most people.  We want to feel important, to do work that matters and to be around people we love, but at the end of the day, when we want to relax, we want simplicity.  We want everything to work and we don’t want something complicated.  That’s what this recipe is about, letting everything speak for itself, so you can speak with those around you.

Simple Salmon

Salmon is one of the best foods for you, both in omega-3s, protein and other important vitamins.  So it’s a bit surprising that many people don’t cook up a simple salmon dinner more often.  Like most dinners, the higher quality of the ingredients, the better the food.  However, this is a simple recipe, but that’s the best way to let the quality ingredients shine. So, without further ado, here's our 4th Cooking4Life recipe.

To make this meal, you’re going to need salmon filets, olive oil, salt, pepper and rosemary.  The trick for this recipe is to actually bring the fish together (almost squeeze it) and score the top of the fish.  Next, you’re going to spread a small pinch of salt and rosemary on the fish.  Next, on a hot pan, you’re going to put some olive oil and place the fish on the heat.  You’re going to simply let the fish crisp on one side for about 4 minutes (depending on the size of the fish), flip and cook  another 4 minutes.  After this, let your salmon rest for a few minutes and pair with your favorite side dishes.

Very simple, very straightforward.  There’s nothing complicated about this, but if you want to spice it up, below you’ll find Gordon Ramsay’s crispy salmon with crushed potatoes and fresh crab meat.

What do you think? Will you cook this recipe? Do you have your own healthy Salmon recipe?
